Today we went hiking the Narrows, in Zion National Park. 5 hours of walk in between high cliffs, closing in more and more on you. The legs in water most part of the time, trying to not lose your balance while walking on massive amounts of rocks. This is now my number one favorite trail. I’d love to spend an entire day in it. I did this drawing later from photo. The little person you see in there is little me. It gives you an idea of the scale.
There is often violent flash floods in there that totally redefine the trail. The cliffs are carved by the flow of water, lots of trees lie here and there, and green hanging gardens dangle from the cliffs too. This park is wonderful. The East part of it is full of magnificent frozen dunes. I will definitely come back there to explore it more!!!
